Welcome to Panther Run Service Unit

Panther Run supports troops in the Liberty Township & West Chester areas, including those attending Cherokee, VanGorden, Lakota Plains Jr., Liberty Early Childhood Center, and Wyandott Early Childhood Center.   We will continue to serve existing troops at any of the current schools.

The purpose of the service unit is to provide girls with access to the Girl Scout program through the development and support of troops, troop leaders, and beyond-the-troop activities. Service units provide this support by organizing troops, providing program and training resources, and recruiting adult volunteers to work with girls in carrying out the Girl Scout program.

Troop Leaders: If you miss the meeting, please pick up your information at 6688 Raven Crest.  Raven Crest is in the Ravenwood Subdivision off of LeSourdesville West Chester Road.  It is about 1/4 mile from VanGorden.  Between Hamilton Mason and Princeton Roads.  It is in the boxes under the Reds seats.

Remember:

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:
          A Recovering American soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
          6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
          Washington, D.C. 20307-5001

New troop numbers:

All troops will receive a five-digit troop number for 2008, while retaining the digits of there original troop number.  The four merging councils will add a prefix to the beginning of the existing troop number that will identify the service region.  Zeros will be inserted after the prefix to make the troop number five digits.  Also, our service unit is now 457 instead of 657.

Great Rivers Region will be 4.

Examples:

Troop 35 will be 40035

Troop 3 will be 40003

Troop 350 will be 40350

Troop 1350 will be 41350
