All volunteers in Girl Scouts of Western Ohio are required to complete two required trainings within six months of appointment.

(Girl Scout Age Level Training for leaders, job training for service team volunteers, etc.)

Camp Certification Training
This fall we are offering multiple opportunities to complete the camp certification training. The cost of the Camping Certification Training is $15 and must be paid when you register. Check out these dates (you must attend both days to receive credit)

It’s Time to Start Thinking about Training and Learning Opportunities
Are you a new troop leader? Are you a troop leader of girls who bridged last spring? Regardless if you are a new or experienced leader, training is vital to providing a safe and quality Girl Scout program to girls. There are a number of training opportunities this fall to complete required trainings and/or to take enrichment trainings.
As you start looking for a training near you, remember that each region’s training codes begins with the region’s number. Below are the numbers to help you quickly find a training near you:
1 = Maumee Valley Region (Counties include: Williams, Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Wood and Ottawa)
2= Appleseed Ridge Region (Counties include: Paulding, Putnam, Hancock, Van Wert, Allen, Hardin, Mercer, Auglaize, Logan and Shelby)
3= Buckeye Trails Region (Counties include: Darke, Miami, Champaign, Clark, Preble, Montgomery, Green Warren and Clinton)
4 = Great Rivers Region (Counties include: Butler, Warren, Clinton, Hamilton, Clermont and Brown in Ohio and Dearborn and Ohio in Indiana)

NEW!! Training Boot Camp!
Welcome to a day designed to prepare you for Girl Scout Leadership! This is a great opportunity for the time-conscious leader to take required trainings and get four enrichment trainings all in the same day!! Learn several songs, games, crafts and basic Girl Scout ceremonies during the Girl Scout FUNdamentals portion to take back to your troop/group. Stay for the afternoon and take your program leadership training on the same day! You may register for both trainings, or just one. It’s your choice!
